I'm Karyne Tinord, a licensed cosmetologist, certified Mental health Professional, Artist, and content creator. With a passion for painless braiding and creating safe spaces for self-expression, I envisioned a place where everyone could connect, collaborate, and create dope experiences together.

In January 2024, I partnered with Courtnee Williams, a Business Development Coach, Wellness advocate, and fellow content creator, who shares my passion for good company, meaningful conversations, and, of course, delicious cornbread. And she pushed me to move forward with launching the Cornrows and Cornbread event series.

The journey began in February 2023 when I soft-launched the idea at the Creatives and Culture Market hosted by DA SPOT NYC. The overwhelmingly positive feedback inspired me to expand the vision and reach out to other entrepreneurs and brands to collaborate.
